My services are detail oriented whether I am planning or settling an estate or setting up a corporation or an LLC. With over thirty nine years of experience, all legal documents that I prepare or review are specifically tailored to my clients’ needs, which needs simply can not be met with a “one size fits all” approach.
Since I am a sole practitioner, all my clients receive one on one personal attention which not only serves to make our relationship more comfortable but also allows me to discern factual subtleties that can make a significant difference in the quality of services provided.
For those clients who are concerned about potential nursing home costs, my estate planning/elder law practice includes numerous asset protection techniques.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF PRACTICE:
1. ESTATE PLANNING / ESTATE SETTLEMENT - For my entire career I have also been assisting families relative to their estate planning/estate settlement needs, including but not limited to, the drafting of Wills and Trusts, the handling of probate and administration matters and the preparation and filing of estate and gift tax returns.
2. ELDER LAW - In the last twenty eight years, I have developed expertise in this rapidly expanding area of law. With the explosion of nursing home expenses over the last thirty years, more and more families have come to me to learn what their rights are when it comes to obtaining Medicaid benefits and to learn about ways to safeguard their assets from being consumed by nursing home expenses. Although there is overlap between elder law and general estate planning, my practice includes assisting clients with respect to protecting themselves and their assets through documents such as Living Wills, Health Care Proxies, Irrevocable Trusts (asset protecting Trusts), Special Needs Trusts and Powers of Attorney.
